Racer Update

Barry-Roubaix racers, in an effort to continue to improve all aspects of the event we have made some changes for the 2014 Founders Barry-Roubaix. 1. The Founders After-Party and Velocity USA Awards Celebration area has expanded!This year the beer tent, food vendors, awards stage, results tent, Hastings city fire pits and sponsors tents will all be in one big after-party area! YES!

2.  Pro / Elite 62 Mile race start Based on last years start waves with 62 mile racers going off first we had most of the racers from the 24, 36 and 62 mile races rejoining towards the finish at almost the same time creating too much congestion and safety concerns. To eliminate this issue we will have the last wave of 24 / 36 mile racers go off by 10:40 and the 62 Mile racers will start at 11:00.  This will allow for the majority of 24 mile racers to reach their course turn off before the 62 milers reach them.  This will also eliminate the finish congestion, while allowing most of the 24 and 36 mile racers to be finished and able to watch the 62 milers finish. 

3. Waves and start times The first wave will leave at 10 AM. with waves leaving every 3 minutes.  This year we will only stage three waves at a time so you can continue to warm up before you need to get in line for your wave start. We will have plenty of access to enter the race chute and join your starting wave. We will be finalizing and emailing everyone's start time and wave a week before the race.
