THANK YOU!

THANK YOU!

The Founders Barry-Roubaix would like to thank everyone that traveled from around the state of Michigan and the country to participate in the 2014 event. What a day of racing and celebrating!

One area that will be changed for the 2015 race is the starting waves and times, especially for the 62-mile racers. We realize there were serious rider safety issue, as faster racers tried to work their way through slower traffic. We apologize if this had a serious affect on your race time and promise to correct the problem.

We want to thank the City of Hastings for being such a great host city for the event. Thanks to the city officials and police, city workers, Barry Community Foundation, Ace Hardware of Hastings and all the local businesses and residents that made everyone feel welcomed.

We need to thank the hundreds of volunteers that helped make the day possible; from the  WMMBA beer tent servers, Barry County Sheriffs, Jeff Buerman and Michigan Youth Cycling, registration helpers , corner marshalling, sag support drivers, photographers…. it wouldn’t be possible without them.

We also need to pass on a huge thank you to our sponsors, without their partnership we simply couldn’t make this great event happen; Founders Brewing, Specialized, Delta Subaru, Freewheeler Bike Shop, Greenware, Velocity USA,  616 Bicycle Fab. , Hammer Nutrition, Smith Optics, Foundry Cycles, 1UP USA, AUXILIARY Advertising & Design, Dakine, Gordon Water, Holiday Inn Express, Community West Credit Union, Soigneur Skin Care, West Michigan Sports Commission and Experience G.R. , SRAM, Big Ring Coffee, T-9 Boeshield, Pennock Health, Vinnies Woodfired Pizza, Ace Hardware of Hastings, Joshua Tree Skin care, Wynalda Packaging, Newton Timing and Race Services, Kenda, Baypoint Inn, Treefort Bikes, Breakaway Bicycles and Grand Rapids Bicycle.

The plans for the 2015 event are already in motion and we can’t wait to do it all over again!  Have a great riding season

The Founders Barry-Roubaix,

Rick Plite, Cathy Plite & Scott TenCate
